On April 11, 2019, Foster City Mayor Sam Hindi officially welcomed Apollomics with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at its new headquarters. Earlier this year the Company announced its move from the East Bay after closing its $100 million Series B Financing. Apollomics also has an office in Hangzhou, China. Joining the Mayor for the ribbon cutting were Foster City Manager Jeff Moneda, and Apollomics officers Guo-Liang Yu, PhD, CEO, Sanjeev Redkar, PhD, President, Wilson Cheung, CPA, CFO, and Gavin Choy, PharmD, COO. Several other representatives from the City and the Company were also in attendance.
“We are thrilled to welcome Apollomics, a start-up biopharmaceutical company, to Foster City,” said Mr. Hindi. “Since our founding in 1958 as a master planned community, Foster City has taken pride in our organized development plan that offers a variety of resources for both our business and residential customers. The employees of Foster City are dedicated to providing excellence in service, and we look forward to supporting Apollomics as they grow their business in our community.”
Dr. Redkar added, “With our global expansion and planned corporate growth, we felt it was important to be centrally located in the San Francisco Bay Area; and, there was no better place than Foster City. Our mission is focused on utilizing sound scientific rationale, including biomarker driven and combination clinical trials, to eradicate cancer and improve the lives of cancer patients. Our new facilities in the Bay Area biotech hub will help us achieve this goal.”
